PSNI Detectives are investigating the latest attempt to rob a cash machine in recent weeks.

The attempted robbery happened at Derrylin, Co Fermanagh, between 2-3am on Tuesday.

Police say the rear door to the machine at a premises on the Main Street was prised open and entry gained.

On Friday, two men aged 24 and 28 were arrested in Co Antrim shortly after an attempted ATM robbery in the main street area of Kells around 2am.

At their court appearance, police said they had managed to track them from the scene by following their footprints in the snow.

On March 5, an attempted ATM robbery was reported in the Roguery Road area of Toome around 4.30am.

Police said that two men were observed trying to gain entrance to the door of an ATM in a forecourt, before leaving empty handed when a car arrived.

On March 3, "a substantial sum of money" was also taken from a cash machine at the Dungannon Road area of Portadown.

Last month, on February 24, thieves also stole £94,000 from an early morning cash machine raid at Cabragh Filling Station near Dungannon.

The same premises was targeted in 2019 when a stolen digger was used to remove the ATM from the wall.
