A country house has changed the name of its “bikinis and balaclavas” package to “relax and reload” after fielding suggestions from customers and the wider public.
Roshnashane House outside Ballymoney faced accusations of insensitivity over the name of the package, which includes use of its airsoft gun range.
The hotel and spa apologised for any offence caused but vowed to continue offering the package after receiving mostly supportive messages.
In a social media post, the hotel and spa thanked the public “for all their fabulous suggestions” and came to the decision to adopt the new name for this particular package.
“As we had so many great suggestions we’ve decided to use some of the other suggestions over the coming weeks for new packages,” management said.
“Again, we would like to thank our guests, old and new, and the general public for all their support. We will not be issuing any further statements on this package.”
