Hit-and-run victim named as Catriona Josephine Johnston (35)

A woman who died following a hit-and-run collision outside Coleraine has been named as Catriona Josephine Johnston.

The 35-year-old was a pedestrian and died at the scene of a collision on the Dunhill Road, between Coleraine and Limavady, on Tuesday evening, 6th December.

Police said they received a report from a passing motorist who was concerned for the safety of a pedestrian who was walking on the Dunhill Road.

The woman's body was later found at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: "Anyone with information in regards to the collision or who may have dashcam footage from around the time of the collision, which was on Tuesday around 7pm, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1653 06/12/22."
