A man has been arrested in connection with a racially-motivated assault on two teenagers in the Castle Park area of Bangor in August.

The teenage boy and girl received hospital treatment for head injuries after being struck with a weapon in the park at around 5.30pm on Friday August 26.

A 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has since been released on police bail.
