Man arrested as police probing East Belfast UVF make suspected drug seizure

A 52-year-old man has been arrested following the seizure of suspected Class A drugs by police investigating the East Belfast UVF.

Cash and drugs supply paraphernalia were also recovered during a search in the Dundonald area on Monday by the PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug, possession with intent to supply and possessing criminal property.

He remains in custody assisting officers with enquiries.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "I would ask anyone with information about the supply of illegal drugs to contact us on 101."
