NOAH Donohoe's mother has appealed for speculation over her son's death to stop, but says that she still believes "someone brought my baby to harm".

In a series of posts on Twitter, Fiona Donohoe also said that "never once have I said Noah was murdered" adding that "all I want is answers".

His family is currently locked in a campaign to establish the circumstances of his death.

There have been a number of unsubstantiated claims made about how he died, including suggestions from social media users wrongly linking two loyalists to his death.

Posting on Twitter, Ms Donohoe said: "Do people not get it...I never once have I said Noah was murdered... all I want is answers.

"Incompetency has caused two years of unbelieveable anguish..speculation ...has caused anguish..everyone start being factual..if you have no source ..stop it..it affects lives.

"I believe someone brought my baby to harm ...I have no facts to substantiate that.

"So how can anyone else factually say the word murder...the facts I have is incompetency of the state ...the only facts I have as Noah's mother."

Ms Donohoe's comments come after it was revealed that a new bridge in Belfast is set to be named after the tragic teenager.

Opened last September, the Lagan Gateway bridge is part of a £5.2 million regeneration project that links the the Lagan towpath and the Annadale Embankment in Stranmillis.

A proposal to name the bridge in memory of the teenager was taken at a meeting of the Strategic Policy and Resources committee at Belfast City Council last week.

It is understood the matter will be brought before a meeting of the full council next month.
