Police have appealed for information

POLICE in Strabane are appealing for information after two petrol bombs were discovered outside properties in the Co Tyrone town.

One of the petrol bombs was found outside a house in Bluebell Avenue at around 9.30am yesterday, before another was discovered shortly afterwards at a nearby house in the same area.

"Thankfully, neither of these items had been lit, and both are now subject to examination," a PSNI spokesperson said.

Police have appealed to anyone who was in the area between 11.15pm on Sunday and 9.30am yesterday to contact them.

"Enquiries are ongoing and we're working to establish a motive for these incidents which we believe may be linked," the spokesperson added.
