One arrest as suspected drugs worth £200,000 seized in Newry

Police in Newry have seized suspected drugs and counterfeit goods during an operation on Monday.

SUSPECTED Class A and B drugs worth around £200,000 have been seized by police in Newry.

The seizure was made during searches yesterday, which also led to the discovery of a quantity of suspected counterfeit goods and £25,000 in cash.

Officers also seized a quad bike during the operation.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and remains in police custody.

A PSNI spokesperson urged anyone with information on the sale of drugs to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
