POLICE investigating an Easter parade linked to hard-line republicans in Derry have arrested a 26-year-old man under the Terrorism Act.

The arrest follows a search at a property in the city's Galliagh area on Monday.

The man was taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite in Belfast for questioning, where he remained last night.

The arrest was linked to the Unfinished Revolution National Easter Commemoration parade in Derry on April 18.

Organised by Saoradh, which is linked to dissident group the New IRA, the event breached a Parades Commission ruling that no paramilitary style clothing be worn by participants.

Police were attacked with petrol bombs and other objects following the parade's conclusion at Derry City Cemetery.

To date, 15 men have been arrested in connection with the parade, with 12 arrested under the Terrorism Act having been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
