The deaths of a further four patients who had previously tested positive for Covid-19 have been reported.

The total number of deaths since the pandemic began is 3,401.

The Department of Health has also notified another 431 positive cases of the virus in the last 24-hour period.

This morning there were 336 Covid-positive patients in hospital, of whom four were in intensive care. Of these, one patient is on a ventilator.

Hospital bed capacity is at 105 per cent. The South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen, which issued a plea yesterday for people to visit only in genuine emergency cases, is 23 per cent beyond capacity.
