FOUR people have suffered minor injuries after part of a ceiling colapsed in the Ulster Hospital's Emergency Department.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening at the Dundonald hospital, a spokesperson for the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust said yesterday.
"Regrettably a small section of a suspended ceiling collapsed last night in the ED of the Ulster Hospital causing minor injuries to a three patients and one relative,” the spokesperson said.
"Everyone who was affected was assessed by the medical and nursing teams immediately and no-one required treatment."
The spokesperson added that the affected area of the ward had been repaired and the Emergency Department was open.
