A MAN armed with a knife held up and robbed an Co Down off-licence on Sunday night.

His face covered with a balaclava and wearing black gloves, he entered the shop at Peggy's Loaning at around 8.45pm and ordered a female staff member to open the till.

He made off with the cash in the direction of Huntly Road, leaving the woman "badly shaken", but unharmed.

The man is described as being around six foot tall and of slim build and was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up, blue jeans, black and white trainers.
