DEPUTY First Minister Michelle O'Neill was celebrating at the weekend as her only daughter got married.

The Sinn Féin deputy leader tweeted pictures of daughter Saoirse's wedding, commenting: "What a fantastic weekend celebrating my daughter's wedding. Family and friends are everything".

The 27-year-old is one of Ms O'Neill's two children, alongside her brother Ryan.

In two of the photographs tweeted by the Fermanagh-South Tyrone MLA, the bride is pictured outside a church with her mother and bridesmaids, while in another Ms O'Neill is pictured with the bride, groom and other members of the wedding party.

In a separate shot, Saoirse is pictured standing in her wedding dress, which is white with a long train, beside a Christmas tree.
