Cash stolen from Banbridge off license by burglar carrying a knife

Police are appealing for information after a man, carrying a knife, entered an off licence in Banbridge

Police are appealing for information after a man, carrying a knife, entered an off licence in Banbridge and threatened a member of staff before making off on foot with a sum of money.

The burglary happened at around 8:45pm on Sunday night at Peggy's Loaning. The female employee was ordered to open the till by the man, who then made off in the direction of the Huntly Road.

The member of staff was left badly shaken following the incident but was not physically harmed.

The man was described as being approximately 6' tall, of slim build and was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up, blue jeans, black and white trainers, black gloves and a balaclava covering his face.
