A MAN has died in a crash between a bus and a van in Newtownards, Co Down.
The fatal crash happened on Ballyblack Road East at around 4.10pm on Thursday.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A police spokesman said ambulance and fire crews also attended the crash.
A police car en route to the scene of the crash was also involved in a collision with a separate van on Ballyblack Road East at around 4.25pm.
A PSNI spokeswoman said enquiries are underway to establish what happened.
A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it attended both crashes.
"The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received separate 999 calls at 16:13 and 16:28 on Thursday November 18 following reports of two RTCs on Ballyback Road," he said.
"The first involved a bus and a van and the second was nearby involving a car and a van."
The Charity Air Ambulance also attended the scene.
