Ballycastle crash victim was Game of Thrones star's brother

Police are appealing for information following a fatal crash in Ballycastle last Thursday.

A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a collision in Ballycastle is understood to be the brother of Game of Thrones star Michelle Fairley.

The victim, named locally as David Hugh Fairley, was aged in his fifties and from the Coleraine area. He died on Thursday following a crash in the Moyarget Road area of Ballycastle.

Police say his motorcycle collided with a vehicle shortly before 4.10pm.

It is understood the victim was the brother of Game of Thrones star Michelle Fairley. The Coleraine actress played Catelyn Stark, wife of Ned Stark played by Sean Bean, in the hit HBO show.

Following Thursday's crash, the Moyarget Road was closed as police conducted an investigation, and it reopened the following morning.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have dashcam footage or any other information to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1157 of 21/10/21."
