FAMILIES who lost loved ones to Covid-19 gathered at Stormont for a candlelight vigil around a heart of stones bearing some of their names.

Brenda Doherty of ‘Memory stones of Love’ organised the event and called for permanent memorial to be put in place at Stormont so that all the people who lost loved ones and who were not able to have proper funerals or to be with their relatives in their final moments, could have a place to come and remember.

SDLP MLA Pat Catney echoed the call and called for cross party support for the memorial at Stormont.
