Coronavirus: Six further deaths and 1,259 positive cases
A further 1,259 positive cases of Covid-19 have been reported as well as six deaths in the past 24 hours, the Department of Health said.
To date, 2,442,855 vaccines have been administered in Northern Ireland.
Meanwhile, another 1,293 confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been reported by the Department of Health in the Republic.
As of 8am today, there were 382 Covid-19 patients in hospital, while there are 61 in intensive care units.
The latest figures come as WHO's Europe director has said third coronavirus vaccines are not "luxury boosters" making vaccine inequity worse but a means of keeping the vulnerable safe.
Hans Kluge appeared to contradict his World Health Organisation (WHO) colleagues at a news briefing on Monday, saying third covid-19 jabs are an important way of protecting the most clinically vulnerable.
