Four charged in drugs bust linked to East Belfast UVF probe

Three men and a woman were charged with drug offences following property searches in east Belfast and Lisburn on Monday

Three men and a woman have been charged with a number of drug offences.

It follows searches in east Belfast and Lisburn yesterday as part of a probe into drugs criminality linked to east Belfast UVF.

Three men aged 33, 35 and 41 have been charged and are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday August 24th.

A 31-year-old female has also been charged and is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court on September 20th.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
