A £180,000 resurfacing scheme in west Belfast is set to get underway next week.

Stormont's Department for Infrastructure is planning to resurface a 840 metre stretch of carriageway in the Colinwell area from Brians Well Road to Colinglen Road from Monday July 26 to Friday July 30.

The work will be carried out between the hours of 7.30pm and 6am, with a diversionary route signposted for drivers.

A Department of Infrastructure spokesperson said: "Whilst the department has carefully planned these road works and associated traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, road users should expect delays and allow additional time when planning any journey.

"All work will be carried out in line with current public health and health and safety advice, with safe systems of work in place for staff and contractors."
