BESET with delays since a new build was first announced over a decade ago, a maternity hospital's signage has become a talking point over an apparent missing letter.
A photo of the £74 million Royal maternity hospital in Belfast, which remains under construction, was posted on social media in which the letter 't' was no longer visible on large wooden panelling outside the facility.
Jokes about builders taking extended 't' breaks followed - given the campaign to build a specialist hospital on the main Royal Victoria Hospital site began 25 years ago.
Belfast health trust insist however that the letter was temporarily moved for construction access and that it was not a misspelling blunder.
In March, similar images appeared online and the trust responded by posting a mock-up of a helicopter coming to the rescue with the missing letter.
Last June trust officials sought extra money to complete the hospital after building work was temporarily halted by the pandemic.
A total of £1.5 million was set aside as part of the original contract for unforeseen contingency expenses.
