A tree-lined avenue in south Belfast has been named the `most Instagrammable' street in Northern Ireland.

Elmwood Avenue, near Queen's University, was found to be have the highest number of Instagram hashtags.

In second place in the survey by Direct2Florist was Commercial Court in Belfast city centre, a hotspot for locals and tourists thanks to its cobbles and the popular Duke of York bar.

Third position went to Joy's Entry, which connects Ann Street to High Street in the city centre and is also home to several pubs.

Quay Street in Bangor, Co Down, which runs near the marina and is near several well-known restaurants in the seaside town, ranked fourth in the survey.

Simon Stirling of Direct2Florist said: "With city breaks becoming a bigger focus this year, we wanted to pull together a handy guide of the most beautiful streets to visit post lockdown, and did so through Instagram - on the logic that the more hashtags for the street, the more photogenic and more beautiful it was.

"These are the perfect streets to visit this summer for a cake and a coffee or a pint."
