POLICE have said enquiries are continuing into a collision in west Belfast involving a car and a scrambler motorcycle.

The crash happened on the Andersonstown Road just before 5.30pm on Monday, bringing traffic to a standstill.

One ambulance attended the scene and a PSNI spokesman said two males, believed to be on the scrambler, were taken to hospital with injuries which were said to be non life-threatening.

A PSNI spokesman refused to say what age the pair are but it is believed they are aged in their late teens.

The spokesman said enquiries into the collision are continuing.
