There have been six further Covid-19-linked deaths in Northern Ireland and 570 new cases of the virus, the Department of Health has announced.
The death toll recorded by the department now stands at 730.
The number of recorded cases in the north has now passed 40,000 with 40,179 having been confirmed since the pandemic began, including 4,629 in the last seven days.
There are currently 413 patients with Covid-19 being treated in hospital, with 51 in intensive care, 44 of whom are on ventilation.
Statistics show 96 per cent of hospital beds in the north are now occupied. There are currently just 15 intensive care beds available in the health service.
In care homes there are 117 confirmed outbreaks and 10 suspected outbreaks.

Despite latest statisitcs showing more deaths and positive cases, there has been a fall in new infections over the last week across most parts of the north.
