Three more people have died in Northern Ireland after contracting Covid-19 according to the Department of Health.

It brings the total number of deaths recorded by the department since the pandemic began to 624.

There have been 913 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in the past 24 hours.

In the past seven days, the Department of Health has recorded 6,850 new cases.

There are 84 care homes with confirmed outbreaks of the virus and 10 have suspected outbreaks.

223 care homes now have closed outbreaks.

In hospitals, 286 patients have tested positive for Covid-19 with 29 of these being in intensive care beds and 25 on ventilators.

There are currently 16 ICU beds unoccupied across the north's hospitals.
