A Co Armagh guitar maker is raffling off a custom-made acoustic guitar worth £6,000 to raise money for struggling musicians in Northern Ireland.

For a ticket price of £10, music lovers can enter from anywhere in the world and the winner will receive free shipping.

They are a blend of traditional American and modern Celtic guitar styles.

Mr McNally, who studied at two guitar-making colleges, said he wanted to help musicians who are in a very difficult financial position due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Firstly as a music lover I'm becoming increasingly concerned about the Covid situation with venues and musicians, and seemingly limited government support," he said.

"Like a lot of people during this time, I've also been trying to think of a way to be useful. Doing something that can help musicians in this manner, with an instrument, is a way for me to utilise my skills in a positive way during the crisis."

All proceeds will be donated to Help Musicians NI, an independent charity which for nearly 100 years has provided a broad spectrum of support and opportunities for musicians aged 18 and over at any stage of their career or retirement.

More than 17,000 musicians have been supported through the charity's hardship efforts since March alone.
