CULTURE Night events went ahead around Ireland last night, although most were broadcast virtually due to Covid restrictions.
In Belfast, the 2020 programme included everything from music and debates to art and films.
There were pre-recorded poetry readings and dance sessions as well as living room performances by the Swing Gals.
Those going online could also enjoy photography exhibitions, a chance to view 'Theatre on Your Sofa' and music videos.
There were also online events in association with development agency Trócaire, including two documentaries which celebrate the courage and determination of women human rights defenders.
These were broadcast on Trócaire’s Facebook page.
In the Derry and Strabane district, Culture Night events included a `Learn to Juggle At Home' workshop and an Irish Musical Theatre Orchestra Showcase, both of which were streamed on Facebook, as well as dance performances on YouTube.
Earlier in the day, there had been live reading sessions for children and adults via Zoom.
Among the 'in-person' events was a poetry trail around Derry, where those taking part were invited to wander through the city where various local poets were performing at stops on the trail.
Meanwhile, in the Fermanagh and Omagh council area, the Culture Night 2020 programme was again a mix of live-streamed, in-person, pre-recorded and online activities and events.
The evening kicked off with Erne Emergency – A Radio Play, with a variety of events later including a singing workshop delivered via Zoom and late night jazz.
