Police investigating criminality linked to the INLA have arrested a 33-year-old man after a stun gun was intercepted by British Border Force.

The man was detained in west Belfast today on suspicion of possession of a prohibited weapon.

Police said the discovery of the stun gun in a parcel led to a search at a house during which a number of items were seized for examination.

The man is being questioned at Musgrave police station.
