Five in hospital after Armoy crash between car and tractor

FIVE people including a child have been taken to hospital following a crash involving a tractor and a car in Co Antrim.

It happened on Monday on Pharis Road near Armoy and the ambulance service was alerted just after 6.40pm.

A three-year-old child was taken by Air Ambulance to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

Two patients were taken by ambulance to Causeway Hospital and two were taken by ambulance to Antrim Area Hospital.

A sixth patient was discharged at scene.

Four emergency crews, three rapid response paramedics and a doctor were despatched to the scene of the crash.

The Air Ambulance was tasked to the incident with HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) crew on board.
