AUTHOR and former journalist Billy Simpson has died.
The former Belfast Telegraph and Northern Whig journalist had been residing at Lisburn Care Home.
He wrote several books including the Dictionary of Ulster Posh Speak.
"The world is a duller place today He will be missed far and wide," said former Belfast Telegraph editor Roy Lilley.
A service of thanksgiving for Mr Simpson's life will be held in Roselawn Crematorium on Wednesday December 4 at 2.30 p.m.
