FORMER DUP minister Nelson McCausland is to take part in the 'West Belfast Talks Back' event at this year's Féile an Phobail - a festival he has criticised several times in the past.

He will be joined by Sinn Féin deputy leader Michelle O'Neill and Fine Gael Senator Neale Richmond in the festival's 'flagship event' at St Louise's Comprehensive College on August 7, which will be chaired by the BBC's Noel Thompson.

It comes after last year's féile hosted its first ever 'unionist-only' panel.

The event allows an audience to ask a panel of politicians and influencers topical questions.

In the past Mr McCausland has questioned the festival receiving significant funding from Belfast City Council.

He also criticised it when a Wolfe Tones concert in Falls Park last year saw chants of 'Ooh, ah, up the 'Ra'.

The Wolfe Tones are set to take part in the festival again this year, which will also feature concerts by Boyzone and Phil Coulter and a boxing match featuring Michael Conlan.
