Police are investigating after shots were fired at a house in north Belfast last night.

Occupants were inside the property on Jamaica Street when it was initially attacked by men armed with baseball bats who smashed windows at the house.

Detective Sergeant Corrigan said: "Several minutes later it was reported that shots may also have been fired at the property."

There were no injuries as a result of the attack.

Police have asked anyone who was in the area between 11.30pm and 12.00am and who noticed any people or vehicles to get in touch by calling 101.
