TWO men have been charged with drugs offences following an investigation into the activities of the south-east Antrim UDA by the PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force.

A 41-year-old man has been charged with possession of Class A and B drugs, and will appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on May 24. The charges relate to the search of a property in Carrickfergus in September 2017, when a quantity of cocaine and cannabis was seized.

Meanwhile a 43-year-old man is to appear before Ballymena Magistrates Court on May 23 to face charges of possessing a Class A drug and possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply.

These charges relate to the seizure of a quantity of cocaine that was recovered during a search of a property in Larne in January.
