The couple in their sixties were rescued from the kitchen. A man in his thirties was rescued from an upstairs bedroom.

The older man and woman are critically ill.

One of them is being treated at Craigavon Area Hospital. The other is being cared for at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

The man in his thirties is in a stable condition.

All three were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation before being taken to hospital.

The Fire Service spokeswoman said: "A working smoke alarm alerted one of the occupants to the fire and they raised the alarm.

"We would like to remind everyone of the importance of having a working smoke alarm and to test it once a week to ensure it is working.
