A TODDLER who went missing in Co Tyrone was found yesterday following a police appeal.

Police asked for help after the three-year-old was last seen at about 3.35pm on Stewart Avenue in Cookstown.

The PSNI issued an update a short time later to say the boy had been found, and thanked the public for their assistance.

"Fantastic effort from everyone in Stewart Avenue, Cooke Crescent and beyond," a police spokesman said on Facebook:

"The missing wee lad has been located. Superb and fast reaction from everyone in helping with the search. Thank you."
