POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a man was forced to withdraw cash from an ATM in Belfast city centre by a suspect armed with a knife.

The robbery happened in the Oxford Street area during the early hours of yesterday morning.

The victim was threatened with a Stanley knife and forced to withdraw the cash at around 1.30am. His mobile phone and debit card was also stolen during the robbery.

Police said the victim was not believed to have been injured, but was left shocked by his ordeal.
