A MAN has appeared in court charged with indecent behaviour in a Belfast city centre fast food restaurant.

Keith Crawford was arrested following an incident at McDonald's on Donegall Place on Monday.

The 39-year-old, of no fixed abode, faces further counts of assault on police, common assault and resisting police.

Crawford offered a greeting to District Judge Fiona Bagnall as he entered the dock at Belfast Magistrates' Court to have the charges put to him.

Tattooed and dressed in a sleeveless jumper, he called out: "Good morning Mrs Bagnall."

No further details about the alleged indecent behaviour were disclosed in court.

Police confirmed bail was not opposed if the accused can find an approved address.

Other conditions included a ban on entering the McDonald's restaurant or be drunk in public.

Crawford is due back in court next week.
