Police are appealing for information following an assault on a 17-year-old woman in south Belfast.

It happened in the early hours of Sunday December 9, in the Malone Road/Wellington Park area.

Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw the woman walking in the direction of the city centre to contact them.

The woman is described as 5ft 4in tall, of slim build with long brown hair past her shoulders. She was wearing a leopard design body top and leather jacket.

Police said they are particularly keen for a taxi driver who picked up the young woman in the area at around 6am and took her to an address in Dundonald to get in touch on 101 or alternatively they can call Crimestoppers.
