A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on the remains of a man who died suddenly in west Belfast.

Police attended the report of a sudden death of a man on the Stewartstown Road shortly before 6pm on Thursday.

It is understood the man was found on the site of the new Colin Connect Terminus, which is currently under construction.

It is believed the deceased may have been a workman on the site who took ill and passed away.

A police spokesman said: "A post mortem is due to carried out, but the death is not being treated as suspicious.

"There are no further details at this stage".
