A DISTINCTIVE orange wig which was stolen outside a Belfast bar at the weekend has been returned to its owner.
Actor and drag queen Matthew Cavan spent £300 on the wig which he uses in his stage performances.
It was stolen from a table outside the Errigle Inn on Ormeau Road in south Belfast in the early hours of Sunday.
Mr Cavan posted on Facebook yesterday that the wig had been found following an online appeal.
"I will be getting it back tonight," he wrote.
"Thank you all for sharing!"
Mr Cavan, who appears under the stage name Cherrie Ontop, had worn the wig earlier on Sunday during a performance at Belfast's Lyric Theatre.
He had been performing in Abomination - The DUP in Concert.
The piece was based on a 2008 BBC radio interview between presenter Stephen Nolan and ex-DUP MLA Iris Robinson in which she described homosexuality as "an abomination".
