TICKETS remain available for this weekend's eagerly anticipated U2 concerts in Belfast.

The band is due to perform on both Saturday and Sunday at the 11,000 capacity SSE Arena.

The dates form part of the `Experience and Innocence' tour, with four Dublin shows planned in November at the 3Arena.

Tickets for the October 27 show were said to have sold out shortly after being released for sale, prompting promoters to announced a second date for October 28.

A very small number of single standing tickets costing £75 were available on Ticketmaster's website yesterday, however.

There were also several seated tickets priced between £105 and £185 for both Saturday and Sunday nights.

U2 last played in Belfast in November 2015 for their Innocence and Experience tour, their first appearance in the city in almost two decades.

Promoters have promised fans that the massive arena production "will explore the latest in cutting-edge technology".
