CONVICTED murderer Fred McClenaghan was buried yesterday.

The 57-year-old's funeral service took place at Magherafelt Independent Methodist Church in Co Derry yesterday afternoon.

McClenaghan died in Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital on Sunday, several days after he fell ill at Magilligan Prison.

He had been serving a life sentence for shooting dead his former partner Marion Millican (51) in a Portstewart laundrette in 2011.

The killer admitted to Ms Millican's murder in September last year.

He successfully appealed his conviction twice before finally admitting his guilt.
