A CO Tyrone businesswoman has died while on holiday to celebrate her 70th birthday.

Freda Wilson, a director of the building firm GF Wilson, was in Malaga with her husband Bryan when she suffered a bleed in the brain on September 15.

She was hospitalised but never recovered and died in on October 2.

Mr Wilson described his wife as his "soulmate for a lifetime".

He said she had been "in perfect health" when they arrived in Malaga.

"We went for a stroll on Friday, went to the pool on Saturday and she became unwell when we got back to the hotel," he said.

"She got a bleed in the brain and it just became too complicated. She was in a specialist unit and they did a good job and fought hard for her. They told me that her heart stopped six times on the Monday and her life was ebbing away."
