Members of the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service Gaelic football team had the honour of playing at Croke Park at the weekend when they took on the Dublin Fire Brigade as part of celebrations to mark the centenary of the Fire Brigades Union.

Also pictured are members of the Fire Department New York GAA club who were invited guests of the “Fire Gaels” for the unprecedented fixture in the NIFRS club's history.

FDNY also presented a cheque for $10,000 for the children’s burns unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital at a function to mark the occasion in Croke Park afterwards.
