FORMER Police Ombudsman Nuala O'Loan and Irish News columnist Tom Kelly will be among the speakers at a key faith conference, hosted by the Diocese of Down and Connor, this weekend.

The Faith and Life Convention will be held in Our Lady and Saint Patrick’s College, Knock, Belfast, on Saturday.

This year's convention will focus on faith in the family.

Honduran cardinal Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga will be the main speaker.

Cardinal Rodriguez previously visited Belfast in 2006 as part of his work with Trócaire.

Baroness O'Loan and Mr Kelly, a visiting professor at Ulster University’s School of Communications, are among those who will take part.
