MOURNERS gathered at the weekend for the funeral of a west Belfast mother who died while on holiday in Turkey.

Séaneen McCullough, who was 37 and from the New Barnsley area, died on Wednesday July 11.

The nurse, who worked at the Mater Hospital, had been on holiday with her partner and young son and is understood to have fallen from a balcony.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, an online fundraising campaign was established to help her family.

As of last night, the page had raised more than £8,600.

Séaneen's Her Requiem Mass at Corpus Christi Church on Saturday morning heard her described as a "bright and bubbly girl" and an "outstanding nurse".

Fr Patrick McCafferty said she had made a huge difference to many lives during her short life.

The funeral proceeded to Roselawn Crematorium afterwards.
