A TEENAGER has died during a family holiday in Spain, just six weeks after the sudden death of his father

Henry Turley (14), from Crumlin, Co Antrim, fell from a 20ft balcony at the Eix Lagotel in the beach resort of Playa de Muro on Majorca in the early hours of Wednesday.

Spanish Civil Guard said his mother Claire was holding onto his hand after he overbalanced on the second floor balcony before he fell at around midnight.

Officers suggested he may have lost his balance while sitting on a chair on the balcony.

He was rushed to the the Son Espases Hospital in Majorca and treated in intensive care, but died from injuries which officials said included punctured lung and head trauma.

A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs told the media it was providing consular assistance to the teenager's family

Last month, his father Stephen, a tattoo artist was discovered dead at a friend's house.
