Police appeal after man attacked by hooded men with pick axe in east Belfast

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a man attacked by a group of hooded men with a pick axe in east Belfast on Friday. 

Detectives are investigating the serious assault in the London Road area of east Belfast on 11th May.

It was reported that the man was approached by two males as he walked in the area at around 10.30pm.

He was led to an alleyway by the men where several other hooded males were waiting.

The man was then held down and struck with a pick axe handle causing a number of fractures to his arm.

Detective Constable Paddy Conlan appealed to anyone with any information which could assist with the police investigation to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 1315 12/05/18.
