Man charged with attempted murder of four people after Saintfield knife attack

A 46-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a knife attack on three men and a woman in Saintfield.

He was also charged with possessing article with blade or point in a public place, possession of an offence weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, theft, two counts of criminal damage and no driving licence.

He is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates Court this morning, 

The attack happened in the Queens Park area and was reported at around 3.40am on Sunday.

All victims were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries.

The woman was reported to be in a "serious but stable condition" on Monday morning.
