TWO women and three men have been arrested after police seized cannabis worth £350,000.

Cannabis worth £120,000 was found after police stopped a 4x4 on the Gilnahirk Road in east Belfast at around 1pm yesterday. Two men aged 20 and 33 who were travelling in the car were arrested for crimes including possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

During follow-up searches in Holywood and Knocknagoney in Belfast, £230,000 of cannabis was discovered.

Two women aged 20 and 32 and a man aged 29 were later arrested.

All five remained in custody last night.
